Wingate is a small Union County town built around UNC Wingate University, about 12 miles east of Monroe on US-74. The housing stock around the UNC Wingate campus area and downtown Wingate tends to be older, with single-family homes dating from the 1960s through 1990s — many running equipment well past its design life. Our service trucks run the US-74 corridor regularly, and Wingate is a short dispatch from our Indian Trail base.
A furnace failure in a Union County winter can go from uncomfortable to dangerous quickly, especially if there’s a cracked heat exchanger involved. We treat heating calls as urgent and run after-hours dispatches because a cold house with a broken furnace isn’t a problem that waits until morning.
Common failures we diagnose: igniter burnout, flame sensor fouled with residue blocking ignition, pressure switch failures preventing startup, control board issues, and blower motor problems. We stock parts for the most common failures — igniters, flame sensors, pressure switches — so most repairs get resolved on the first visit. We also serve customers in UNC Wingate campus area and downtown Wingate, and most of Wingate falls within our regular service run out of Indian Trail.
